Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Go Rampe collects through its website gorampe.com and through the requests you send us, what it is used for, who can access it and how to exercise your rights. It is written under Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Go Rampe is responsible for the personal information it collects. The person in charge of the protection of personal information is Marc Lacasse. For any question or request, write or call:
- Marc Lacasse, Go Rampe
- mlacasse@gorampe.com
- 1-888-957-2673 (toll-free)
- 1405, rue Thomas-Powers, Lévis (Québec) G7A 0R1
2. The information we collect
We collect what you send us yourself, as well as what the website records automatically (section 3):
- Contact form (Contact and Careers pages): the subject of your request, your name, postal code, phone number, email address, your mailing address if you provide it, the description of your need and any attachments you choose to add (photos, videos, PDF documents, or your résumé if you apply for a job).
- Quote form: the product you are interested in and the details of your project (height to clear, configuration, options), your name, phone number, email address, city or region, the best time to call you back and your message.
- Email and phone: what you choose to tell us when you write to us or call us.
The website has no customer accounts and accepts no payments. You do not need to send us any health information to get a quote: simply describe the access you need.
3. What the website records automatically
- Cookies: without your consent, the website sets none and uses no advertising or audience-measurement tool. If you click “Accept” in the banner, we load Google Tag Manager, which activates the tools named in section 5: they set cookies on your device and measure the website’s audience (pages visited, origin, device and browser type, interactions such as a click on a phone number) as well as the effectiveness of our ads. Another possible exception in all cases: the Google map on the Montréal page (section 5).
- Your cookie choice: it is kept in your own browser’s memory (local storage) for twelve months, after which the banner asks again. It is never sent to us. You can change it at any time with “Manage cookies”, at the bottom of every page: declining stops these tools and erases their cookies set under gorampe.com; the cookies providers set on their own domains can be deleted in your browser settings.
- Text size: if you use the button that enlarges the text, your choice is kept in your own browser’s memory (local storage) for your next visit. It is never sent to us. You can erase it by clearing the site data in your browser.
- Technical data: to display the pages and protect the website, our host processes your IP address and the technical information every browser sends (device type, browser, page requested).
4. What your information is used for
- Answering your request: price, call-back, question or billing.
- Assigning your request to the advisor for your region, based on your postal code.
- Assessing your project and preparing a quote.
- Reviewing your application, if you apply for a job.
- Following up on our relationship and meeting our legal obligations.
By sending us a form, you consent to these uses. We do not use your information for other purposes without your consent, unless the law allows it. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the person in charge (section 1).
5. Who can access it: our team and our service providers (third parties)
Your information is viewed by the members of the Go Rampe team who handle your request (administration, sales advisors, management). To run the website and route requests, we also rely on the following service providers:
- Cloudflare (United States): hosts the website and routes every visit through its global network, which includes processing your IP address.
- Cloudflare Email Service: sends the requests made through the website forms to our mailbox (contact@gorampe.com), from a gorampe.com address (soumissions@formulaires.gorampe.com). The message content preview, which Cloudflare may keep temporarily, is turned off.
- OpenAI (United States): to assign your request to the right advisor, our automation tool (n8n), which sorts the emails we receive, has the content of your request read by an OpenAI artificial-intelligence service, which extracts your contact details, postal code and the subject of your request. The choice of advisor based on the postal code is automatic; a request that cannot be classified is reviewed by a member of our team.
- Google (Google Workspace): our email service. The requests we receive and the emails we exchange with you are kept in our Google mailboxes, and an acknowledgement of receipt may be sent to you this way.
- Google Maps: the Montréal page displays an embedded Google map. When the map is displayed, Google receives your IP address and may apply its own cookies, under its own rules.
- YouTube: the video on the About page only loads if you click it. It is then served by YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
- Google (Tag Manager, Analytics and Ads), Meta (Facebook) and Microsoft (Clarity) — only if you click “Accept” in the banner: these services measure the website’s audience and the effectiveness of our ads. Each receives your IP address and information about your browsing, may apply its own cookies and process this data under its own rules; Clarity may also record how you browse the website (clicks, scrolling). None of this is loaded if you decline.
- Competent authorities, when required by law.
Cloudflare, Google, Meta, Microsoft and OpenAI may process or store your information outside Québec, notably in the United States. We do not sell your personal information.
The links to our Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube pages, to Google Maps and to our online shop (boutique.gorampe.com) lead to separate sites governed by their own policies. Nothing is sent to these sites before you click.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as needed to handle your request and follow up on our relationship, then for as long as our legal obligations require. After that, it is destroyed or anonymized.
7. Security
The website and its forms are served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to your information is limited to the people who need it to handle your request.
8. Your rights
At any time, you may:
- find out whether we hold information about you and access it;
- have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected;
- withdraw your consent to their use;
- ask us to stop disseminating information about you or to remove a link giving access to it, in the cases provided by law;
- obtain the computerized information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format.
Write to the person in charge (section 1). We may ask you to confirm your identity. We respond no later than 30 days after receiving your request.
9. Confidentiality incident
If an incident affects your information (unauthorized access, loss or disclosure), we take steps to reduce its consequences and record it in our register. If it presents a risk of serious injury, we promptly notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the persons concerned.
10. Complaint
First send your complaint to the person in charge (section 1). If our answer does not satisfy you, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec:
- www.cai.gouv.qc.ca (new window)
- 1 888 528-7741 (toll-free)
11. Changes
We will update this policy before adding to the website any new tool that collects information (for example, audience measurement). The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
